Simple Studies: English Fairy Tales– A Charlotte Mason Instructor Guide for K-6 students (Includes hand-drawn Coloring Pages for young students).

Enjoy these classic fairy tales with your students with accompanying illustrations, discussion questions, narration prompts, links to video and music resources and more. Our goal with this study is not to get children to memorize fairy tales. Rather, our aim is to encourage our children to form personal relations with folklore and develop their unique imagination.

With Simple Studies: English Fairy Tales, students cover narration, literature, writing, citizenship, history, geography, music and art among other areas of schooling. Lessons take approximately 5-20 minutes.

Included in this study:

– 43 Simple Lessons that correspond with each chapter.

– 43 Hand-drawn Coloring pages for younger students for each lesson.

– Picture Booklists for each lesson.

– Narration prompts with each lesson.

– Prompts for Older Students discussions and study.

– Optional Activities.

– Dive Deeper Research and Video links for each lesson.

– Review Questions… and more.

This guide is for teachers and/or parents to use with their students. No prep is needed. Please note this study offers *optional* Christian faith-based bible verses and discussion prompts.

Instructors will need access to one book to complete these lessons:

1) English Fairy Tales by Joseph Jacobs. ((I recommend the New West Press edition for a printed copy but others exist online. It is free on the public domain, here or you can listen for free on Librivox). Additional links to obtain this book inexpensively or at no cost are listed in the guide.

"Let children have tales of the imagination, scenes laid in other lands and other times; heroic adventures, hairbreadth escapes, delicious fairy tales, even where it is all impossible, and they know it, and yet they believe." – Charlotte Mason
