My name is Crystal and we’ve been homeschooling since 2014!

We’re disciples of Christ and are passionate about family, education, adventures and living books…

After reading Charlotte Mason’s volumes and dabbling in various homeschool methods, I created Simple Studies in 2019 as a way to incorporate classic, living books, narration and nature study with our kids every morning at the table together.

Now, I feel incredibly humbled that thousands of families enjoy Simple Studies around the world!

I aim to help make education simpler, more joyful, more adventurous and more intentional using handbooks with lessons on everything from history to earth science, mammalogy, entomology, fairy tales, language arts, character development, and more.

I truly believe good literature and strong families could save the world!

Each Simple Studies guide offers K-12 students and families simple, comprehensive lessons using living books, and offering comprehensive book lists, narration prompts, discussion questions, helpful printables (zero busywork), diagrams, coloring pages for Pre-K students to use during read alouds, nature journals guidance, and depending on the study; poetry, songs, illustrations, copywork, maps, links to videos and helpful resources, simple projects, drills and more.
