Simple Studies: Earth and Sky
A Charlotte Mason Instructor’s Guide for K-6 students.
Who isn’t in awe of our earth, sun, moon and stars? Each of these 8 short lessons offers a reading from The Earth and Sky: A Primer of Astronomy for Young Readers by Edward S. Holden originally published in 1898, a prompt for narration and art opportunities along with a list of living picture books for younger children and ideas for further study for older students, including Bible verses and discussions.
With Simple Studies: Earth and Sky, students cover narration, astrology, earth science, helioseismology, the bible, nature study, literature, copywork, poetry, art and more all while you simply read aloud.
Older students are prompted to use their Bible and to create original drawings in their narration notebooks.
